Description:This is a very nice uncleaned Read-Parrott on consignment from Pete George of the Dickey and George artillery book fame. This shell is an example of the collaboration between Robert Parrott and John Read using the sabot technology patented by John Read. This shell is uncleaned but clearly shows good iron and would clean up well if someone were inclined to do so. It has a nice clean wood fuse hole that I presume was cleaned out after the shell was disarmed via the side. This is a nice example. The labels on it give Pete's shell history.

Shell is inert, uncleaned and coated.
