This is a very nice 12 Pounder wood fused ball found at Resaca. Condition of the iron is very good. This ball must have been made with a new or nearly new mold as the mold seam is very light but it is visible. Given it was found at Resaca the odds are very good that it is a polygonal cavity but the interior of the ball still has some encrusted contents (dirt, etc.) so it is hard to tell if it is polygonal.
Projectile is inert, cleaned and coated.
