Description:This ball practically sings Dixie it looks so Confederate. All we know is that it was found at Petersburg but not who fired it. I also know the digger and will share that name to the buyer in case they would like to follow up with more detail.

This is a solid shot made for a 32 pounder gun. You can clearly see the mold seam all the way around. It is far more distinct a seam than you normally see on a ball of any size. Iron is very solid with only the lightest of ground action. It could still be cleaned more as there is still dirt scaled in places as you can see in the images as the spots of tan.

Projectile is mostly cleaned and coated.
