Description:Simply a top notch example of a purely CS shell. The adapter and use of a side plug to load iron case shot is only found in Confederate artillery. The fuse is screwed flush with the shell surface and is mint. The iron side plug is very visible. The iron of the shell body is in very good condition and you can clearly make out the casting sprue on the bottom.

Shell is cleaned, coated and disarmed.
