Description:A fairly rare projectile, the 3 inch Hotchkiss bolt is a hard one to find. Here is an excellent specimen which is missing it's cup and lead driving band. The iron is good with very minor ground action. The casting sprue is visible on the bottom.

For less than half of what a complete one goes for you can get this nose section and add a cup and lead band that doesn't have flame grooves and you'll have an inexpensive example for your collection.
